A litle about the history of animation and what basic ideas started what
we take for granted today. Simple flip books can be made!
The easiest annimations to do are flip books. You need a small notebook and you draw a tiny pic on the corner of the book where you can flip through all the images. |

Pictures of a thaumatrope once you've seen one you will see how it works and then you'll be able to make your own. Its basically a circle of card with an image drawn on either side. Put string in a hole on either side of the circule (at 3 and 9 on a clock face) and then spin! The images will appear to be on the same side! |
