What else can parents do?
Parents should monitor their chidlren's internet activity and teach their children to not give out personal information via a website without asking permission. This includes signing up for anything - even those that just require an email address.
Do not allow children to use chat rooms unsupervised. Even supervised use may not be safe. After all you can't see who your child is talking to.
Teach your child that meeting people they talk to online is very dangerous. Talk to your child about where they go online. Be involved in what they do.
Use software to prevent children from seeing bad sites.
