British Library Collections and resources for kid and teens. You can send free e-cards from their site. They do have some free events of readings of works. You can look at some items online including Leonardo da vinci's notebooks. |

| Urbis Manchester City Centre Free admission. This isn't a conventional museum or gallery. It is an interesting and strange mix of 3d art, video and sound as well as probably one of the most interesting glass elevators we've seen! |

| Manchester Science
and Industry Musuem Free entry to everything apart from one special exhibition (Which changes a couple of times a year) Manchester at Castlefield. This is a huge museum that could take you hours to walk round if you look at everything. Its aeroplane building is impressive as is its engine shed. There is a hands on section where kids can play with experiments including seeing if you can lift a mini using a hand winder. |
Bethnal
Green Museum of Childhood This has a large collection of children's toys. Details of various

Museum of Childhood Strathpeffer, Ross-Shire IV14 9DH There is a small charge for admission, but ddmission is free to local residents living within the 01997 42xxxx telephone area. Exhibitions include the Angela Kellie Doll Collection, as well as photos and the history of childhood in the highlands. |
Livesey Museum for Children Peckham, London SE15 1JF Admission is free and aimed at children under 12. They run sessions for under 4s. |
